Due to complete lack of interest in having a new place to stay near Lake Ivie we are abandoning our plan and will not be providing cabin and RV rentals or private pond fishing. We have tried everything we know including offers of free use of the cabin and RVs and free fishing, all with no response whatsoever. This is the last post and the Facebook site will be coming down.

In spite of all the setbacks, we are determined to offer our cabin for rent. We still have a minor plumbing problem that shouldn't deter any fishermen so it's time to get going.
I believe you will agree that this is by far the finest lodging available in the area, you just have to see it. Although in the future the rate to rent this cabin will be higher, we will reward those who stay with us despite the current plumbing situation by offering you 10% off any future stays
The current and temporary rate is $300 for two days plus $100 for each additional consecutive day. That's it, no additional fees, no surprises. You could sleep up to four in the cabin so grab some friends and call or text me at 325 227-5498. Give us a try and see if we aren't by far the best place to stay in the area. If we are not yet, give us your suggestions and we will improve as much as we can afford.
The cabin will be rented on a first come first served basis.

I stood out by our gate this evening in high winds and cold temperatures and watched dozens of vehicles pulling boat trailers in anticipation of a great weekend of fishing at Lake Ivie.
What disturbed me was that we have a cabin on FM 1929 just outside the entrance to Concho Park Marina and the cabin is probably the nicest lodging available in the area (by far in my opinion) yet we hesitate to rent it because of a minor plumbing problem we just can't get fixed.
So in spite of this minor inconvenience, we will start immediately offering the cabin for rent. The rate will be $300 for two nights plus $100 more for each additional consecutive night. No hidden fees, taxes, or other costs.
The cabin could sleep up to four people comfortably and has plenty of safe and secure boat parking. Plenty of lighting for late evening or early morning preparation. Completely private with a full kitchen so you can actually prepare your own meals, outdoor dining table, propane firepit, and something new for Lake Ivie accommodations, SHADE. You can sit out on the patio, enjoy a break from fishing, watch the Blackbuck Antelope and deer feed, and actually enjoy yourselves.

Our dream of having a nice property near Lake Ivie is over. While we had hoped to be offering the cabin and travel trailers for rent by now, we found out after we got possession of the property that the owner had made changes to the water and electric systems which make the property unacceptable according to our standards.
However, since we will be in possession of the property, and since the fishing in the fish pond is excellent, we may host some family fishing events. Also, we can provide camping facilities for those who really need them and at a very low cost. Seems there will be a slight delay in launching the Lake Ivie Taste of Heaven rentals. We were supposed to close the purchase and get possession today, but (no comment). I will get back to you on the updates to this drama.
