Tomorrow is the big day, restaurant opens for the season! Hours will be Wednesday through Saturday 11-6. Hopefully we can hire some more staff and add more days but for right now this is the best we can do. Come and see us for a quick bite!

Good morning, Now that things are getting back to normal and the park is re opening we are working to get the restaurant open again also. So we are currently hiring for cooks and waitstaff. If you or anyone you know anyone that would like to spend time in the woods in a casual laid back kitchen please message us.

Awe, shucks! This is a great little article! Thanks for the love everyone!! We are not open in the winter months this year as we focus our energy on rebuilding the Lake House after last winters fire. The Northern will be open this late spring so follow the page and watch for updates! 💜

This rural restaurant might be hard to find, but it's worth the twisting roads to find it.

We have decided that Abol and The Northern Restaurant will not be open this winter. We appreciate your patronage and hope to see all our winter friends up to the Chesuncook Lake House and our camping friends back in the spring.

All good things must come to an end... even camping. The campground, store and The Northern Restaurant are closed for the season. It’s been a great summer and we want to thank all our guests! Watch for posts and announcements including when we open for 2018 bookings.

A HUGE thank-you to the Maine Forest Rangers and the Millinocket Fire Department for their speedy response to a fire we had in the generator shed tonight. No one was injured and things were knocked down quickly. We will be operational tomorrow as usual. Another huge thank-you to CMD Powersystems, Inc. for furnishing our replacement generator which will arrive in the morning. Stop on in and throw a few bucks in the new generator donation jar on the counter! See ya soon!
