This year, the New England Outdoor Center and Twin Pine Camps, based just outside Millinocket, Maine on the shore of Millinocket Lake announced the four-season outdoor resort has cleared more land this fall to open 10 kilometers of cross country skiing trails as well as snowshoeing routes throughout the property. The 10 kilometers of trails were designed by preeminent designer and Olympian John Mo

rton. The trails, featuring stunning views of Mount Katahdin will be cleared and maintained by the New England Outdoor Center and used for both skating and classic skiing. The New England Outdoor Center is located just miles from the south entrance of Baxter State Park and Mt. Katahdin and provides plenty of terrain for cross country skiing. Hiking trails quickly become blanketed with snow and provide for a great trek through the woods or out in the open wilderness. Skiers can also enjoy their stay with friends and family in one of our convenient lodging options. Our cozy cabins or new Coveside Guest Houses offer modern amenities in a rustic setting. We also have our River Drivers Restaurant on site to serve hungry skiers!
