Concordia Lodge #249

Concordia Lodge #249 is located in Millwood, Wa. We meet at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month, except for June, July & August.

We usually have dinner at 6:00 prior to the meeting. We welcome all sojourners.

On Wednesday, April 29th, the next Inland Northwest Honor Flight will return from Washington, D.C. This one is special, as our own Worshipful Brother Bob McNickle will be on the flight, with Nathan McNickle as his “Guardian”.
Please join us in welcoming him and nearly 100 other veterans on their return from experiencing the memorials that were erected in their honor. We will meet in the main ticketing area at 7:00pm. Be prepared to wait for a while, as it takes a bit to get everyone off the aircraft and organized. Wear your Masonic and patriotic outfits. Let’s give these vets the “Welcome Home” they may have never received.

I want to thank the brothers of Spangle, Boyer Mountain, Oriental, and Audubon Park lodges for attending our meeting last night as we passed brother Brian Papiez to the degree of a Fellow Craft Mason. It was a fantastic experience as our Senior Warden conferred the degree for his first time.

Concordia Lodge 249 showed up in force at Bro. John Young memorial today. The WM, SW, JW, and SD performed the Masonic funeral ceremony. About ten other members of our brotherhood attended. The church was a packed house and several non Masons commented on how beautiful our contribution was.

In our May stated meeting a representative from Orchard Center PTO visited us and explained their role and goal for their school. We moved, seconded, and passed a proposal to donate to support the transportation for their field trips.

Today, WB Steve Schmedding and I attended their last assembly of the year to carry that donation to them.

Incredible night 5/22 as 26 Master Masons from 6 lodges, including 249, gathered to raise Brother Shaune Gardner to a Master Mason. It was, in my humble opinion, the absolute best degree work I've seen our brothers perform in a long history of excellent ritual work.

The last Friday Night at the Lodge for this season was a paint and sip of a tulip field. Isibeau D'Aquilla, my Beloved, was scheduled to direct it but was ill so I, Dave Alverson, stepped in. Here's some of the finished product.
