After a freak winter storm last year froze much of our yard we feared the worst. We suffered several months of bleak conditions. The University of Florida urged patients and to trim back the damage. I wasn't so sure.
But in about May, the yard sprang forth with renewed vigor. I actually think many of the plants are healthier now than they were before.
We pretty much lost everything that we had planted within the last 18 months. But luckily, this place has long-established roots in the soil and many of these plants were here when we bought the property in 2015.
It's going to be a glorious winter here in Florida.
