Personal Chef - Fall / Winter Menu

A lovely three course dinner. You will experience authentic tastes of various regions of India with some of my own infusions with select wines from Portugal (Duoro, Alentejo, Lisboa)

Guests will sample

1. Chutney infused charcuterie ranging from sweet, savory and spicy with a smorgasbord of seasonal items and a wine pour to break the bubble!

The main course is a delightful made from scratch cuisine from silk road & India served family style with a wine pour

1. dal fry: Chef's choice of lentils seasoned with variety of spices and simmered to perfection. The seasoning 'Tadka' imparts flavors of ginger, garlic, turmeric, cumin, fenugreek, mustard, lemon or green mango
2. basmati rice: cumin, green curry leaves. At times I make a variation with leeks, lemon and raisins
3. lemon pepper chicken masala: The chicken is marinated overnight and goes through three round of spices in its making with roasted black peppercorns, fennel and coriander seeds tapered with a hint of Manukkah honey & mango powder
OR
lamb chops: marinated in a lemon cilantro mint dressing with ginger and black pepper, stewed and baked twice (house favorite).
4. cold mango / papaya salad
5. roasted cubed eggplant: made with onions, mustard, cumin, fennel, lemon juice.
6. home made raita, roasted cumin

Dessert
1. coconut fudge or ganache bites with fresh berries
2. dessert fortified wine pour

My nonprofit organization selected this lovely house for our annual Board and Staff retreat. There weren't many homes available in the Twin Cities to accommodate our group size, and this house was perfect. Lots of space to spread out and each have our own rooms and wonderful common spaces like the kitchen, dining room and living room where we held our meetings. We enjoyed the house so much, we only went out to dinner once. We mostly shared meals in the beautiful, landscaped backyard. The location couldn't be beat. We walked around Lake Bde Maka Ska on breaks which was just a couple blocks walk away. Grocery stores were a two minute drive. Rupinder was such an excellent host, he left us a home made treat when we arrived and had left some beverages and snacks to start our visit off right! He was always available for questions, but we also had our privacy. We all slept well in the comfortable beds and nice linens. Everything we needed was provided - from towels and shampoos/soaps to all the stuff you would need in the kitchen. We had a productive meeting and a blast cooking and gathering together in this beautiful home. A gem in the Uptown area, I would highly recommend this home!
