Pizza Camp

Pizza Camp An overnight camp for pizza-loving adults. It's also so much more than that. Help us make it a legacy! What is Pizza Camp? Pizza Camps across America!
(3)

It's a group of adults, going to an overnight camp, and eating pizza. It's the first retreat of it's kind and we hope to make it into a legacy. The first Pizza Camp was in Minnesota in September 2014. Pizza Camp is currently raising money with the Minneapolis Pizza Club to have a 2nd annual Pizza Camp in 2015, and building a mobile pizza oven. We'd like to see more people have pizza camps, in more places, more often. What happens at pizza camp? Visit our website to find out!

Our Story

Pizza Camp is an overnight retreat for adults that combines classic (cheesy) summer-camp programming alongside 24 (stuffed-crust) hours of pizza-centric meals and (saucy) entertainment.

Each year, adventurous adults gather together in Minnesota for the pizza party of a lifetime with the MPLS Pizza Club. The 2018 Pizza Camp kicks off at Baker Near-Wilderness Settlement on Saturday morning where campers will drop their sleeping bags off at their cabins and grab their swag bags before loading up on pizza, donuts, and coffee to gear-up for 24 hours of pizza-partying.

Pizza Camp features curated pizza-centric activities mixed with summer-camp classics to create a unique program. This year’s itinerary includes canoeing, archery, hiking, pizza-themed campfire sing-a-longs, a pizza photo booth, crafts, games like “capture the pizza” and “pizza wars”, and a a hands-on dough-making class. Campers are also invited to participate in our artist-in-residence workshops like light-drawing with Brian Matthew Hart, screenprinting with local illustrator BERGY, and a Taste of Pizza History class with the U.S. Pizza Museum who will be joining us from Chicago.

For dinner, our community-style pizza party features a tri-pizza system with various styles of forms of pizza at the ready. Each camper is also invited to make their own pizza from our DIY toppings bar and fire it up in our woodfire ovens from the help of one of our pizzaiolos (pizza chefs).
