Farewell 2021!

I am so thankful for all my guests who still found safe ways to travel and explore in the midst of a global pandemic!!

Goodbye, 2020!

Every year, I remove the pins from my guest map and start fresh. Although, my pins from 2020 are not as numerous or as widespread as in years past, I am even more grateful for each and every one.

Each pin is a reminder to me that even in this year of struggle and separation, good things still happened.

The pins represent visits with family, weddings, births, surgeries, and family vacations. They represent quarantines and socially distant gatherings around the bonfire. They represent life, that even in this year of pain and suffering, still happened.

While I lost a staggering amount of business in 2020, I gained just enough new business to keep doing what I love.

Here’s to 2021 and the adventures it will bring us!!

This pandemic has been difficult for all short term rental hosts. Not only did my house sit empty for weeks on end, I no longer get to greet my guests in person which is one of my great joys of hosting.

Having these two back-to-back reviews has been a huge encouragement to me as I wait for life to “get back to normal.”
