Journey's Convention

Journey's Convention Host facility The Pointe Waterfront Resort & Hotel. The Journeys convention was developed by the Woods and Waters Area of Narcotics Anonymous.

The committee wanted to expose addicts to a new and fun way to live, so many of the workshops are held outdoor. Some workshops require the use of a kayak or bike to reach the workshop location. Other workshops are deep in the woods and will require some hiking. Some workshops are held on pontoon boats, while others are held during a round of regular golf or disc golf. Workshops go on no matter wha

t, so bring warm clothes and rain gear and a positive attitude. This is a celebration of discovery and recovery. We look forward to meeting you soon.

It’s a beautiful Journey’s morning. Looking across the bay watching the pontoon boats filled with addicts returning from workshops as 2 more are preparing to head out. To the south of the pontoon paths I can see 16 kayaks heading to the island for their workshop.the Pointe grounds are full of activity. I just walked by the marathon campfire meeting. It’s such a good feeling watching people reacquaint with people they haven’t seen since last Journey’s, a year ago. laughing, planning, reminiscing,’ and, of course, hugging. Welcome home, my NA brothers and sisters in. It’s a great day to be clean!

Last call for booking hotels!! Currently, we've only used 2 of our 30 rooms at the Best Western in Minocqua. This block closes out on May 4th, so this is the last chance to book your room there and get in the block at the discounted rate! This will be one of the stops for our shuttle as well, ensuring you can get to and from the Pointe easily!
