Thank you to Minocqua Fire & Rescue Department for sharing these unbelievable lightning pictures with us from the thunderstorms that moved through the area last night. This is a prime example of why we always preach lightning safety whenever storms roll through the region. To quote fire & rescue, they were "training outside in downtown Minocqua, focusing on hydrant operations and effective hose lays between emergency scenes and water sources. When lightning hit the lake, we moved back to the station to keep our training environment safe." We're glad everyone is safe and sound.
