Kimball Lake Resort

As many of you already know, we have sold the resort. The family who bought it has a long history at the resort and are excited for the 2022 season to come.
This beautiful story written by another long-time guest and friend was published in the Spooner Advocate a couple weeks ago. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Max enjoyed his 16th birthday yesterday with a trip to McDonald's, and a sniff adventure walk by the fish hatchery. A nap of course was needed when he got home.

Dan from Montgomery IL, landed this 36-inch northern pike on Sept. 9 fishing in deep water on Middle Kimball. He released it after the photo op. With less heat and humidity, less bugs and good fishing, fall can be the best time to visit Kimball Lake Resort.

Many of you have seen on the news that Minong and the surrounding area is under a state of emergency after Monday night's torrential rains and subsequent flooding. We want to reassure everyone that Kimball Lake Resort is running as usual with no serious damage despite 9+ inches of rain in less than 6 hours. Most affected was the driveway into the resort, but it is still passable and will be repaired as soon as possible. All roads to the resort are open but we would recommend keeping to the main paved roads. An old dam east of the Minong Flowage broke on Tuesday and the Totogatic River is still rising with the dam on County Hwy. I wide open. The Kimball Lakes chain water levels were up about a foot but have already started slowly receding.
