Just in time for Spring Break! ☀️

We are so excited to introduce our very own Camping On The Gulf App! Our Activity Schedule, Food Truck Schedule and Resort Map is now available in one place! We are still perfecting it and more features will be coming.

Due to the approaching storm and direction from local authorities, Camping On The Gulf will be under a mandatory evacuation beginning at 12:00 PM today.
All guests must leave the park by 2:00PM. Please begin preparing immediately and allow yourself plenty of time to safely depart the area.
We understand that this may be an inconvenience, but the safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority. Please do not delay your departure.
Once the evacuation is in effect, our staff will continue to monitor the storm and local conditions. We will provide updates as information becomes available regarding the park and when we may safely reopen.
Please travel safely, follow all directions from local emergency officials, and stay tuned to local weather and emergency alerts.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please stay safe!

A reminder to all our COTG friends. You are not allowed to leave your beach gear on the beach over night. It’s against park rules, county laws and is simply disrespectful to all. Why? Here is a good pic that explains it. Things get damaged, washed away and are an eyesore to what is otherwise paradise. In addition, it’s free to anyone who wants to take it. And the local sheriffs department will not respond or take reports from you for anything that you left out on the beach and is taken. It is not considered stolen rather abandoned. In this pic you’ll notice that the canopy blew onto the adjacent property in front of the private chairs and umbrellas that are being set up. The young man doing so will be throwing all these items away and most probably before the owner even wakes up. Please respect all rules, laws and people for the benefit of everyone, including yourself. FOLLOW-UP: the added pics show COTG staff picking up and throwing away the beach gear left on the beach over night. FYI thrown away not stored away for safe keeping.

Beautiful day today and for the first time in a week, the surf has laid down. Also a not too common sight of spotted sea rays beaching the water up to 3 feet in height has been going on for the last four days or so. Apparently a mating habit. This makes sense since many can be seen swimming in pairs very close to the shore. An absolutely beautiful day.
