Utah’s fall colors are putting on a show at Sundance Mountain Resort!
If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to head into the mountains, this might be it. Sundance Mountain Resort’s scenic lift rides are running during one of the most beautiful times of the year, giving visitors a chance to see the changing leaves across the mountains and Provo Canyon from above.
Instead of waiting for ski season, you can ride the lift without skis or a snowboard and simply take in the views. As September turns into October, the mountains around Sundance typically transform into a mix of gold, orange, red and deep evergreen, making this one of those short Utah seasons you don’t want to miss.

🌤️ Operations: Weather and conditions permitting
Sundance’s official fall activities information lists scenic lift rides among its current mountain experiences. Because foliage depends heavily on elevation, temperature and weather, the best colors can move quickly—sometimes looking noticeably different from one weekend to the next.
And that’s part of what makes fall in Utah so special: you only get a small window before those colorful mountains turn into snow-covered ski slopes.
