The Canyonlands PRCA Rodeo brought more than 3,400 spectators to the Old Spanish Trail Arena May 29-31, organizers say, with events including ba****ck riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping and barrel racing.

The fifth annual Southeast Utah AstroFest is next week, June 4–7!

Events at Canyonlands happen on Friday, June 5th. Solar scope viewing and pop-up ranger talks will occur throughout the day at Island in the Sky district. Evening programs start at 9:30 p.m. at Grand View Point and Green River Overlook, with telescope viewing at both locations from 10 to 11:30 p.m.

ATTENTION LPS RIDERS!
We need to give the Snotch a little love this week. Don't worry, it will remain largely unchanged, we're just stabilizing one ~10' section that's on its way to completely eroding out.
Our crew may route you down the 'Notch' instead while we are on site since it's narrow and precarious where we will be working.
Work will begin tomorrow, 6/2 and go through the week and possibly into next week if needed. We will do our best to leave the Snotch passable when we are not on site.

The fifth annual Southeast Utah AstroFest is next week, June 4–7!

Events at Hovenweep will occur on Sunday, June 7th. A ranger program kicks things off at the visitor center starting at 8:30 p.m. followed by telescope viewing at two different stations from 9:30 until 11:00 p.m. We'll bring the stories, telescopes, and complimentary snacks (while supplies last). All you have to bring is a flashlight, sturdy shoes, layers, friends & family, and a little curiosity.

Trauma care saves lives when every second counts. During National Trauma Awareness Month, we recognize the highly trained teams who are ready to respond with skill, speed, and compassion when emergencies happen.

As a Level IV Trauma Center, Moab Regional Hospital works closely with Grand County EMS and regional partners to provide critical care for both community members and visitors. From advanced training exercises to coordinated emergency response systems, our trauma team is prepared for the unexpected every day.

“Trauma is all about having the systems in place in order to take care of the patient,” says Dr. Deidre Flanagan, general surgeon and trauma director at MRH.

We are grateful for the dedicated physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, and support staff who help deliver lifesaving care to our community.

- Windows Area: 9:30 p.m. ranger program with telescope viewing from 10–11:30 p.m.
- Delicate Arch Viewpoint: 9:30 p.m. ranger program with telescope viewing from 10–11:30 p.m.
- Panorama Point: 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ranger programs, with telescope viewing until 11:30 p.m.
