BREAKING NEWS: The Bearded Ranger HAS seen his shadow, predicting that winter is comingâŚagain. Meanwhile famed, âsemi-mythicalâ, âweather-predictingâ groundhog Punxsutawney Phil has predicted spring will arrive early. The nation now waits in meteorological anticipation.
đ¤ But, letâs be honest, who are you going to believe? A reputable ranger or a random rodent??
âď¸ Over the last two weeks Badlands experienced unseasonably warm temperatures reaching as high as the mid 60âs. With the onset of these moderate conditions, we were able to release the Bearded Ranger back into his natural habitat and we hadnât seen or heard from him since⌠until today!
đłď¸ He emerged from his burrow early this morning in true groundhog (or, well, prairie dog) fashion to let us know that weâre actually in store for 6 more weeks of winter.
đ¤ˇââď¸ Considering heâs been out there becoming one with the Badlands wilderness for the last two weeks, weâre inclined to believe him. No matter when you plan on visiting Badlands, be sure to check weather forecasts ahead of time and plan accordingly!
