Our sister city of Independence is a great place to spend a September Saturday! Enjoy not one, but two farmers markets, shop at a plethora of locally owned businesses, walk along the Willamette River, and enjoy a tasty treat - options include ice cream, coffee, sandwiches, smoothies, pizza, b**r and more! We recommend hopping on the trolly just a block from MaMere’s Guest House & Event Venue and riding it to downtown Independence for a fun experience!

One of our favorite summer must-dos is a float on the Willamette River. Whatever your floatation device - kayak, paddle board, raft or inflatable float - a leisurely float is a great way to kick-off or wrap up the summer season! 🛟🛶🚣

We are proud to have Andante Vineyard w**e available for guests at MaMere’s Guest House & Event Venue. And while our courtyard is a pretty darn great place to enjoy a glass of Pinot or Sauvignon Blanc, we highly recommend you experience a tasting at their beautiful tasting room! The w**e is perfectly paired with one of their charcuterie spreads and a view of the Willamette Valley. Innkeeper Emily highly also recommends a glass of their Aligoté while you visit!
