Happy Homestay USA places international students with American families to assist in the students assimilation with English and American culture while attending ELCI (ELCI.edu) to improve their English or attend AEEA (AEEA.com) partnering high schools. We want your homestay experience to be wonderful, but we need your help. To our homestay families, thank you for being a home away from home for ou
r students. Homestay can be the most important part of an international student’s stay in our country. Your home is not just a place where the student eats and sleeps, but a living laboratory for American culture and the English language. We ask families to include their students as part of their families. We emphasize to students that they should try to integrate and participate as much as possible in family life to get the most from their experience in the USA. You are their family away from their immediate family. Please treat your student as your own child and family member just how you would like your child to be treated if/when they go to a foreign country. To our current or prospective students, we hope that you will have a great time while you are here in our program. We will do our best to help you to have a good experience and to learn about our culture and language while you pursue your education. Living with a host family helps you practice English and learn about the American Culture and how American families live. We encourage you to get involved and spend time with your host family as much as possible – go shopping, watch TV, play games, and go to church and other places together. Help your family with the house cleaning and yard work. This is your home away from home.
