the Bobo Lodge A great place to come and take a load off. The Bobo Lodge started 100 years ago as a dance hall called the Monte Cristo Pavillion.

A footbridge crossed the river from here to the tiny mill town of Villa Grande. In the 40's, the hall was turned into a home and sometime in the 60's, was converted to 4 separate apartments. On Thanksgiving day in the year 2000, we became stewards of the old place, christened it the Bobo Lodge, and have been spending way too much money on it ever since.

The dock, canoe and ducks are finally in the water. It’s the start of the Bobo summer.

It's been a few weeks since the flood here. We're still sifting through and power washing mud off things. Seven truckloads of junk was hauled away, and the basement workshop is cleaner than it has been in a very long time. Big Bobo thanks to Jeff Brammer for use of his truck, and Renata Foucre, Judah Thomas, Catherine & Marty Schwebel, and Dan Stegink who came out and helped. We really can't thank you enough.

We've gotten lots of calls and emails asking about the flood. The roads opened and I was able to get up there this weekend. The water went 4 feet deep in our basement and thankfully did not go into our living space. One of our tenants did a great job of tying up our dock, boats and outdoor furniture so none of it floated away. It's just all in a jumble and everything is coated in mud. I'm going up again to clean and haul this Friday and Saturday (March 8-9). If you have any time to pitch in and help it would be greatly appreciated.
