As we continue to watch the Babylon Fire and its impact on our community, everyone at Camp Jackson would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible firefighters, incident management teams, law enforcement officers, EMTs, dispatchers, and support personnel working tirelessly to protect our area.
Your long hours, dedication, and willingness to put yourselves in harm's way to protect lives, homes, businesses, public lands, and places like Camp Jackson do not go unnoticed. Every fire line built, every hot spot extinguished, every patrol, every meal served to crews, and every logistical task completed represents another step toward keeping our community safe.
We know these efforts come at great personal sacrifice—time away from your families, exhausting conditions, and the constant challenge of battling unpredictable fire behavior. Your courage, professionalism, and commitment inspire all of us.
We also want to thank the many volunteers, community members, and support organizations who have stepped up in countless ways to assist during this challenging time. Wildfire response truly is a team effort, and we are grateful for everyone playing a part.
From all of us at Camp Jackson: **thank you.** Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to protecting Monticello, San Juan County, and everyone who calls this beautiful place home.
Please continue to stay safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you until every crew returns home safely.
❤️ Thank you for everything you do.
