Upcoming festivals nearby

* October 3 — Montross Fall Festival, 9 AM–4 PM, downtown Montross. This is the big one for Riva House: family-friendly, vendors/community activities, and a 3 PM parade. It’s free and no registration is required.
* October 8–10 — Colonial Beach Bike Fest, Colonial Beach. A multi-day event that should bring visitors into the broader Westmoreland County area.
* October 10 — Mud, Music & Motors, 10-7 at Big Land in Montross, 9 AM–8 PM. Includes a 5K mud/trail run, 4x4 mud run, BBQ, craft b**r and other activities.
* October 10 — Warsaw Fall Festival, 9 AM–4 PM, 171 Main Street in Warsaw. Another very close fall-festival weekend that could appeal to Riva House guests.
* October 10–11 — Kilmarnock Fall Festival, 10 AM–4 PM, Town Centre Park. Arts and crafts, bounce houses, games and family activities.
* October 17 — Northumberland Public Library Fall Festival, 10 AM–2 PM, Heathsville.

Stayed a few nights
This place is 10/10! The hosts are 10/10! They were responsive, the home was extremely clean, the amenities were EVERYTHING! Everything about this home and the area was honestly perfect. If you stay here, PLEASE go to the beaver beach (only a few minutes to walk towards the beach) and it is SECLUDED! Almost like having your own personal beach. Would definitely book again, without hesitation!
