One year ago today, a new chapter began at the Inn at Montross. 💚

On October 1, 2025, Owen officially became the owner of the Inn—and what a year it has been.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve welcomed guests from near and far, hosted community events and local artists, worked on new projects throughout the property, spent plenty of time in the garden, and continued finding new ways to make this historic place feel like home.

There have been big moments, small moments, lots of learning, and more than a few appearances from Buster along the way. 🐾

Most of all, this first year has been about the people who have walked through our doors. To every guest, neighbor, local business, community partner, friend, and supporter who has been part of the journey—thank you.

Here’s to one year and everything still to come at the Inn. 🥂✨

There’s something about a fresh cup of coffee and a morning at the Inn that just goes together.

And with our new espresso machine, guests can make their mornings even better with an espresso, latte, cappuccino, or their coffee of choice before heading out to explore Montross.

We recently welcomed Lucinda and her daughter, Sarah for a visit—and Lucinda has quite the connection to this place. She lived at the Inn in the 1960s!

We love hearing from the people who have been part of the Inn’s story over the decades and learning about the memories made within these walls.
