Something we’ve been noticing lately…

This time of year might be one of the best times to stay out here.

Not peak summer.
Not crowded.
Not rushed.

Just that perfect mix of cool air, warm water, and quiet space to actually slow down.

We opened a couple of our tents early this year, not really knowing what to expect…

And they filled faster than we thought.

Which tells me something:
People aren’t just looking for a place to stay right now.

They’re looking for a moment to step away.

And this season seems to hit that perfectly.

If you’ve been thinking about coming out, this is a really good window:

There’s a moment at the end of the day out here…

When everything finally slows down.

The air cools off just enough, the lights come on, and you realize there’s nowhere else you need to be.

No schedule.
No noise.
No rush.

Just a quiet night, a warm soak, and space to breathe.

This is what people come here for.

And honestly… it might be the best part of the whole stay.

If you’ve been thinking about getting away, this is a good week to do it:

If you’re going to book a stay right now…g o with Colorado Cowboy.

There’s something about this one that just feels right:
• private hot tub tucked in the back
• covered pergola out front
• a little more rugged, a little more Colorado

It’s quiet.
It’s simple.
And this time of year, it hits perfectly.

Cool air, warm water, and space to actually slow down for a couple days.

We’ve already seen this week start to fill up…

So if this one’s been on your radar, I wouldn’t wait too long.

We didn’t expect this…

But after opening a couple of our tents early, they started filling up almost immediately.

And now we’re heading into another week of that perfect 50–70° weather.

Which means:
cool air, warm water, and some of the most relaxing stays of the year.

There’s something about this time of year that people are catching onto.

It’s quieter.
Slower.
More intentional.

And based on how things have been going…

I wouldn’t be surprised if this week fills up too.

If you’ve been thinking about a stay, this is a great window:

Cool air.

It’s not peak summer.
It’s not crowded.
It’s just… quiet.

You step into the hot tub, lean back, and realize:
this is the kind of moment you don’t get very often.

And honestly—it might be better than July.

We opened a couple of our tents early because of this stretch of weather…

And it’s turning into one of our favorite times of year.

We weren’t planning to open these tents until May 1…

But April had other plans.

With temperatures settling into that perfect 60–70° range (aka ideal hot tub weather), and weekends booking up fast, Wendy and I made the call:

Let’s open them now.

All venues feature:
• custom-built pergolas on the front porch
• private hot tubs tucked in the back
• wide-open views with that quiet Monument Glamping feel

This creates a small window of unexpected availability—right when the weather is at its best.

And based on how things have been going lately…

I wouldn’t count on it lasting long.

There’s a moment out here that’s hard to explain.

The fire is warm.
The water’s still.
And the world just… quiets down.

No schedule. No noise. No rush to be anywhere else.

Just you, the night air, and a view that reminds you to slow down.

That’s what people come here for.

And honestly… it’s our favorite part too.

A quick behind-the-scenes note about Monument Glamping.

Chris (owner here) was recently invited to speak for the American Glamping Association as part of their national Lunch & Learn series.

He’ll be sharing the story of how this place was built—from a simple backyard idea to what you experience today.

We don’t talk about that side of things very often, but it’s worth saying:

Every part of Monument Glamping has been built intentionally—learning what guests actually enjoy, what makes a stay feel special, and how to create a space people want to come back to.

Being asked to share that at a national level is an honor.

For you, it simply means this:

You’re not just booking a place to stay.
You’re stepping into something that’s been thoughtfully built over time.

If you’ve been thinking about visiting, we’d love to have you out.

We weren’t planning to open these tents until May 1.

But this weather… and these bookings… changed that.

We’ve been filling up every weekend lately, and with temperatures pushing close to 80° this weekend (in March?!), Wendy and I decided:

Let’s open them now.

So Queen’s Retreat and Colorado Cowboy are officially open early.

Both have:
• custom-built pergolas on the front porch
• private hot tubs tucked in the back
• that same quiet Monument Glamping experience people keep coming back for

This creates a small window of availability we didn’t expect to have.

And based on how things have been going lately…

I wouldn’t be surprised if we fill up again this weekend.

We built these privacy fences… even though we technically didn’t need to.

From our house up above, you could see parts of this area—but it wasn’t something we thought much about at first. The views out here are beautiful, and we’ve always tried to keep things open and natural.

But a few guests mentioned something important:

They didn’t feel as private as they wanted to.

That mattered.

Especially for experiences like the ice plunges and hot tubs. People loved them… they just didn’t want to feel like anyone might be watching.

So we made the change.

Now, you still get the open Colorado views in front of you—but with a greater sense of privacy behind you.

That balance is something we work hard to get right across all 8 of our units.

Because a great stay isn’t just about what you see…

It’s also about how comfortable you feel.

A lot of people ask us how Monument Glamping started.

The truth is… it didn’t start as a business idea. It started as a backyard experiment during a home remodel and slowly grew into what it is today.

Recently, Wendy and I sat down with a local podcast called Sips & Stories and shared the entire story — the early days, the risks, the mistakes, and the moments where we realized something special was happening here.

If you’ve stayed with us before, this episode pulls back the curtain a little on the place you experienced.

And if you haven’t visited yet, this is the story behind the land, the tents, and the dream that became Monument Glamping.

Some properties have mountains.
Some have lakes.

Here at Monument Glamping, we have something a little quieter — a gently flowing creek.

Guests often sit on this porch longer than they planned. Coffee turns into an hour. An hour turns into an afternoon. The sound of water has a way of slowing everything down.

It’s one of the small things that makes this place special.

If you’ve stayed in King’s Quarters, you know exactly what I mean.

Come experience it for yourself.
