This holiday season, we are offering something we had talked about doing for years while everyone has family in town, but actually are caught up and organized enough to do them this year - “Finally together family photos” sessions on:

December 23, 24, & 26

All sessions are 1hr long, and we will come to your place of choosing and gather as many groupings as one can fit in an hour.

The whole family, Individual families, Parents & Siblings, Grandparents & Grandchildren, only the children, only the cousins, only the adults… As many combinations as one can fit into an hour! (And we can fit a lot into an hour)

What will you need?

-A space that can accommodate the entire party for the “one big group photo”

-A list of all the combinations (for organization purposes, but we will accept going off script too, of course)

You can also book this session if it’s only you and your immediate family- you can totally just do a themed indoor pajama or cozy holiday session.

When I tell you that I’m proud of who this human has become, I fully want you to take a minute and hear me loud and clear! We’ve worked with enough teenagers in our career to have a rough idea with each passing year the things they struggle with and the challenges they face (even if it’s only a glimpse and even if we can’t put ourselves in those shoes). Lilly here is single-handedly one of THE MOST unapologetically themselves people I’ve ever met and I’m including adults in that comparison too. Add to that, we’ve watched Lilly grow from a rather little kiddo to a current UNCSA student (yay Debby’s school she was attending when we met), and it’s like watching your own extended family grow up and thrive! (Mind you, if you’re reading this going, but Jeremy, I didn’t go to an arts school and I don’t make bold choices, does that mean you’re not proud of me - rest assured, if you live a life of spreading love, and you can end each day saying you gave the day your all, I’m IMMENSELY proud of you, and that can look dramatically different each day!)

Didn’t intend to have this many “dark and moody” posts so close to each other on the grid, but at the same time - I have as much love for that as I do the bright and bold! Each has their place and purpose and I equally enjoy working with both styles! Huge nod to for inspiring me to lean a little more into that and add it as a question on our introductory contact form (he’s a stellar artist and I’ve learned a few things from him business-wise already… which should tell you lots about him in an industry that loves to gate-keep)

Working on revamping our website (don’t look at it now, shh shh, just look at me, it’ll see you and it’ll know we’re talking about it and it’s not done yet), and one of the things we’re doing is making a few mega-galleries. Like, if you were to look at our food gallery, it’s currently got over 1k images in it and it’ll randomize every so often so you don’t just see the same photos every single visit ever. Cool huh? Well beyond “random” we can also “rainbow” sort the gallery if we wish, which puts things of similar color together and it goes in the order of the rainbow. This is but a SMALL sampling of the “orange” section and no lie, I kinda wanna just figure out what I’m posting by this method forever more because it’s kind of a surprise for me too! Hope you enjoy! We’ll tell you when the site gets done too so you can peruse!

We did these photos last month for just a week or so before they officially opened (along side the genius of .are.niceday ) and couldn’t be happier to get the “we wanna go moody” memo when it came time to set our look!

Most of this work was from a shoot with a couple years ago. That shoot was a really fun opportunity to get to make cheese photos that felt like Renaissance paintings, and of course we were all about that!

Portfolio Work: Pouring
Over the years, in our beverage work, we’ve been lucky enough to do our thing alongside some amazing humans and masters of their craft! While this list is by no means inclusive to all the people we think highly of, picking photos out for this made me want to call out some extra love to the following drink artists (in no particular order):

While most have moved on to entities we don’t work with or we’ve moved on from the entities they do, the love remains! Give them a follow, support their projects, and let them know how much we appreciate the artists they are!

A couple weeks ago we got to shoot with this marvelous lady - meet Stef of and La Crèmerie Crue! She makes a line of vegan cheese spreads that I won’t attempt to describe here - you’re gonna have to go find her at the farmers market and try it yourself! We were introduced to each other via our longtime friend Michele of fame (which also makes a brief appearance in this carousel, but more of it another time, it gets its own appreciate post)! Stef also brought along her friend and food cohort, Jules of and you’ll see some of her bread creations on one of the lay-flats.

(Fun side note: the bowl used in the lead shot was the one from Stef’s grandfathers chocolate shop many years ago, assuming I got my story straight… talk about fun textures to shoot with!)
