Now, here is a perspective that is mostly unknown except by the locals. "Dead Bunny Hill" as it is affectionately referred to locally. It is officially named Blacktail Butte. Looking to the left of the photo, you can see the bunny ears, then to the right, the face, stomach, legs and feet to the far right. This view was taken looking south from the Snake River Overlook outside of the GTNP fee area and can also be seen at the Teton Point Turnout on US 89 about 15 miles southwest of the Hatchet Resort and about 15 miles north of Jackson Hole. Young people have fun taking this picture while "holding up" the bunny from the foreground. The countdown is ticking! Spring is coming! The Hatchet Resort opens May 1st. Early May is the best time to view newborn buffalo. Their color is orange and they look like a bovine calf with a big head. It's been a warm winter this year. We look forward to seeing many buffalo calves roaming with the nearby herds. Taking early bookings now at www.hatchetresort.com
