Did you know it’s National Do Something Nice Day?

We didn’t either 😎

But since we know now… do something nice for yourself and book the cabin getaway you’ve been talking about. 😉🌲

Fresh air, quiet mornings, cozy cabins, and a little time away sound pretty nice to us.

🥞 Happy Pancake Day from Foxtail Cabins! 🥞

With the Pancake Day festivities happening today, we had to share this little piece of local history!

This photo was taken on Pancake Day in 1963 and was recently shared with us by some of our longtime Foxtail Cabins guests. They grew up right here in Centerville and Albia and have been staying with us since Foxtail Cabins first opened.

More than 60 years later, Pancake Day is still bringing people together and creating memories. We love getting to hear stories like this from our guests and seeing the traditions that have been passed down through the years. ❤️

Whether you’re a lifelong local, coming back home for the weekend, or visiting for the first time, we hope you enjoy a wonderful Pancake Day!

And a special thank you to our guests for sharing this sweet memory with us. 🥞

Happy Pancake Day from all of us at Foxtail Cabins!
