Late last week we found out that someone had gotten into our glamping units at Big Rock and took our solar batteries and kits that our guest rely on for power during their stay. To say we are disappoint would be an understatement…. But this is Utah where we traditionally aren’t jerkemers and take others stuff. What’s interesting is they also grabbed the camp chairs, fans, and cleaning totes. But they did leave our dust pans and fire extinguishers…. So if you see something on KSL or Facebook marketplace, shoot us a dm so we can get these back!

We are working on an experience where glamping meets backpacking. The idea is that you’d spend one night glamping, wake up the next morning and backpack to a back country site with amazing fishing and stargazing. Is this something that interests you? Hopefully we will have this up for mid July.

East Canyon State Park: Big Rock Campground

Lost Creek State Park: Lower Dam Campground

Soon at lost creek: fisherman’s retreat! This will be a “hike-into” sort of glampsite. You’ll have the back 40 all to you and yours. As we are building the back country site, just give us a comment on what you’d like to see included at that location!

Instructional bags are packed and ready to go for this semesters version of RAM 1700: Back country basics! If you want to be a tester for an instructional bag and get a DIY manual that we are building just send me a DM! These should be ready to go in April just in time to get you ready for your summer backpacking preparation.

Osprey backpack
Sleep system
Navigational tools (map and compass)
Headlamp
Basic First Aid kit
Hygiene (wag bag and trowel)
Camp kitchen (jet boil stove, bear bag, cleaning system)
Hydration system -gravity or pump filter
Shelter system - (1-4 person tent, knot kit)
