We have 48 campsites that are suitable for both RVs and tent camping. All campsites are equipped with 30 and 50 amp hook ups and water. 18 sites are for short-term camping (less than a month) and 30 sites can be used for seasonal/monthly camping. Two dump stations and three bathhouses are located at our campground for your convenience. We offer unlimited primitive tent camping areas for those int
erested in just “roughing it.” Our two new playgrounds are located on either side of the lake and are suitable for children of all ages. We also have several picnic shelters and pavilions for those who want to come and enjoy a picnic or family outing. Daily visitors can access our campground for free for picnicking, hiking, biking, or just driving around. The Moffit Lake Store & Bait Shop offers a selection of drinks, snacks, fishing tackle, and bait of all kinds. Our 64 acre lake is stocked annually with a selection of catfish, bass, crappie, or bluegill and redear to satisfy any angler. We also offer free fishing for anyone under 16. Boats are allowed with electric motors only and our renovated boat ramp can accommodate boats of any size. Our boat dock is handicap accessible and can be used as a fishing platform or to tie your boat while you park your car. We also rent pedal boats and john boats for those who want to enjoy the lake from the water. We also have 7 cabins available for campers: 4 have bathrooms and showers, heating and air conditioning, refrigerators and microwaves, and can sleep up to 4 people. Three of the cabins only have beds and heating and air conditioning, but are within 50 feet of a bath house facility. One of these cabins can sleep up to 15 people! We are located 10 miles from Morganfield which has shopping centers and several restaurants and 11 miles from Sturgis – home of the Kentucky Bike Rally and the Union County Fair. Higginson-Henry Wildlife Management Area is only 5 miles away and the Big Rivers Wildlife Management Area and State Forest is 13 miles away; both offer thousands of acres of hunting, hiking, and horseback riding. So bring your family, a tent or RV, and a fishing pole and enjoy a weekend of quiet, relaxing, family-oriented camping at our newly renovated and well-kept recreation area!
