Got some free furniture a while back from a friends sister who was moving into a tiny house. I’ve been able to use a couple pieces so far in the casitas and this was just waiting for a spot. I need extra storage in my house since it’s only slightly bigger than a tiny house 😂 but I don’t like natural pine. So I stained it with espresso. That’s my go to stain. I just like the dark wood color so much better. Super happy with how it came out. I’ll get it moved in soon. 103° with humidity today and I sweated my eyebrows off working on it! 😂 There’s no electricity in the casita it’s in currently for a fan or AC. 🥵😂😵

My soft girl era is over. Being too nice gets you walked all over. You can be kind and still set boundaries. People who take advantage of others will ALWAYS push back on your boundaries. Calling you a bitch, or telling you you’re mean or wrong for sticking up for yourself. You aren’t. You have one fricking life to live, make sure it’s the one that makes YOU happy. Highly recommend watching The Narcissists Playbook if you have too much empathy for any abusers that may be in your life. If you’ve ever excused poor behavior because they had a sh*tty childhood, etc. a good portion of them know what they are doing. The movie is available on their website for $19. Narcissistsplaybook.com and it is well worth it.

My mind is racing with everything going on these days and for some reason I decided I didn’t have time to meditate. So I need to get back on that because there’s a huge difference in my mental capacity to hold multiple projects without feeling crazy when I do. I just sit comfortably for about 15 min each morning and quiet my mind. It’s hard at first. I started with guided meditations and that’s helpful. They are available on multiple streaming platforms. It takes a while to settle your mind down, but when you do it’s literally magic. For those of you that say you can’t do it bc your mind won’t shut off, you need it the most. It’s like a muscle you have to build it up over time. Totally worth it!

Truly successful people will never make fun of your struggle. Success to me equals a well rounded person, not just monetary gains. Some rich people make fun of others all the time, but people who have worked on themselves, are emotionally intelligent and kind don’t do that. You can spend your money all you want but you can’t buy character.
