I wrote:

Hello folks,
I'm fine with going ahead with this October's date and would rather not postpone another year or until spring. If you have strong feelings about covid, I understand. But depending on the response I get back, we will go ahead as planned or change the date. Either way I need to know asap. The hotel deposit is due at the end of the month.

If we go ahead with this coming October, I'm asking if anyone is willing to help me out with the deposit. I will keep records of who sends me $100 toward the final cost per person. I don't have that final cost because I haven't gotten a DJ booked yet plus a few other small costs.

I know some of you have emailed me that you aren't or probably won't be coming if it's this Oct. But I wanted to give everyone a chance to let me know what they think we should do. I'll go with the majority.

Please respond ASAP.
Those that can help with the deposit, let me know that too.

Hello MHS class of '71. After taking weeks to update my reunion spreadsheet, I finally finished today. I used the MHS alumni association updated directory. But with over 500 students in our class, it's certainly not all correct.

So, what I need from all of you is to spread the word to anyone in our class you may know how to contact. Plus, send me your email address that you would like all updates for our reunion sent to. This way you'll be sure to get all updates.

PLEASE PASS THE WORD!! We want to make this the best reunion possible.
So put October 8, 9, 10 in your calendar and help make this a fabulous, fun filled weekend. It may be 50 years since our graduation, but we still know how to party. :-)

Please pass this message along to anyone you're still in contact with from our class. Many aren't on FB at all or seldom. I'm in the process of updating my list. Please send even if you're not planning on attending the reunion the weekend of Oct. 8-10. There will be information you might like even if you can't or don't want to attend. At the moment it's still on. If there's a change, I need to be able to contact everyone.

I'll be sending an email out in the next week or two with more information. I'll try to post all of the names of the people whose emails bounce back to me. Maybe you will have someone's contact info.

This is a huge undertaking and I need everyone's help. There were people that found out about the last 2 reunions that wanted to come, but my contact info was incorrect. We don't want that to happen again for our 50th. This reunion is it for me.

So lets do it!
I'm going to do everything I can to make this reunion the best one yet! I've got a few surprises up my sleeve :-)

Hello classmates!
Reunion Update...I left a message with the events coordinator at the Hyatt in Motown last week about setting our 50th reunion date for a weekend in October 2021. I haven't gotten heard back yet. If I don't hear back by early next week, I'll try again.
I had a conference call with two people from the class of '70. They picked my brain on all the details of putting a reunion together. FYI: We will NOT share our reunion event with them. They agreed with me that it's not a good idea.
I will post here as soon as I have a date. I'm going to need help from everyone to start spreading the word. Other than that, there's not much to do until late spring of 2021. Hopefully by next summer Covid-19 will be history. 🤞

To continue...I'm starting to think about our 50th in 2021. I'm taking a vote for a spring (May) reunion or fall (October). I'll have to book it within the next 6 mos. or maybe less. So let me know your thoughts.PLease pass the word. 😍
