Meet Sam, our Artist-in-Residence at The Lodge at Sweetwater Studios.
One of our hopes for The Lodge has always been to create a place where people can slow down, create, and connect with one another. We’re excited to have Sam helping bring that vision to life.
During your stay, you can sit for a portrait with Sam, whether it’s a quick graphite sketch or a more detailed charcoal portrait. Swipe through to see a few examples of his work, including a recent portrait created for one of our guests.
Portrait offerings:
• Quick graphite sketch (5-10 minutes) — $20
• Charcoal portrait (approximately 2 hours) — $60
In the months ahead, Sam will also be leading a variety of creative experiences at The Lodge, including plein air gatherings, open studio figure drawing sessions, and Drink & Draw community nights. Some will be guided, while others will simply be opportunities for artists and curious beginners to gather, create, and enjoy the beauty of Sweetwater together.
We believe creativity flourishes in community, and we’re looking forward to sharing these experiences with you.
Follow Sam Mitzner to see more of his work and watch for upcoming announcements.
