Barney’s Cafe in Mount Airy, North Carolina sits in the middle of “Mayberry” country, just a few steps from Floyd’s Barber Shop and other Andy Griffith landmarks on Main Street. The front windows are decked out with a nod to Barney Fife, and inside it’s pure small-town charm...cozy booths, the daily specials up on the board, and walls covered in Barney photos. Breakfast plates come piled high, burgers are stacked tall, and the country-fried favorites taste like home. Save room for a slice of cake or pie from the counter. Locals linger over coffee, visitors feel like old friends...this place is Mayberry at its best.
