Heart & Soul Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of Mount Airy’s Historic District. The home is walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants, and shows. The Bed and Breakfast will open March 1, 2015 and will be open year round. The home will be available for weddings, receptions, special events or any North Carolina Vacation.

The Butler’s Pantry and kitchen received a beautiful facelift and every corner of Heart & Soul is refreshed, polished, and ready for our 2026 guests.

Last weekend at The Heart & Soul was pure joy — a wedding rehearsal dinner filled with laughter, love, and even a little birthday magic as the groom celebrated his 25th surrounded by family and friends. 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️💍

What made it even more special? Every family member was able to stay right here under one roof — sharing stories over coffee and savoring each special moment together. That’s the kind of magic we love most.

And of course, a huge thank you to private chef Ed, who made culinary dreams come true with a meal as warm and beautiful as the occasion itself. 👨‍🍳

Behind the B&B is a Bamboo "forest" that is seemingly taking over but no need to fear Whitebuffalo Moore has an answer. Last year he and his wonderful wife stayed with us and said he can use the bamboo to make us a spear. One year later he has returned with our bamboo now a beautiful spear, and it is incredible. On display at along with hand crafted knifes. PS He now has a permanent supply of bamboo :).

This weekend, we loved celebrating the beloved Autumn Leaves Festival right here in the heart of Mount Airy, North Carolina!
This hometown tradition began back in 1966 as a way to mark the end of the to***co and apple harvest season — and it’s grown into one of the largest fall festivals in the Southeast. Each year, hundreds of thousands of visitors stroll downtown to enjoy live bluegrass and gospel music, local crafts, and the kind of Southern food that feeds the soul.

Yesterday, Duke Energy advised our neighborhood that they had a planned equipment replacement and power would be off 6 hours. We informed all of our guests and in typical B&B fashion, they were all very understanding. It ended up being 10 hours down but still no complaints. Big Thanks to our guests! A special shout out to our neighbors/community, you know who you are (Ben Griffin who jumped to action with backup generator, lights, etc. , Kelly at Barney's for the gift certificates and back up breakfast, and State of Graze for the additional munchies. Mount Airy is the Best!!!
