We decided to take a weekend getaway to Mt. Dora after reading the reviews I was a little concern when I realized it was under new management. Well our concerns were put to rest when we met Lucy and her grandaughter. They gave us a tour of the property and made us feel at home. Lucy is a great cook and her breakfasts was outstanding. She always had coffee ready! We stayed in the Rose room it was large and clean with plenty of room. The towels were fresh and the bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water. Again Lucy made sure to make sure our room had everything we needed from extra towels to even extra blankets because the weather was cold in the 50's I can say that I will stay at the Magnolia again. The Magnolia has everything you need to make you feel welcome. We arrived on the 17 of january and checked out on the 20th I wish we had a few more days. Thank you Lucy!

Magnolia Inn Bed & Breakfast is the quintessential place to stay to relax! The rooms are beautiful and extraordinarily clean, and the breakfast is absolutely to die for. The innkeeper, Howard, goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Need a dinner reservation? He'll make it for you. On a special diet? No problem - Howard will cook from scratch anything you want or need. I have stayed in 3 of the 6 available rooms, and all of the beds were outstandingly comfortable. The bathroom is spotless. There is a gazebo on the property with a hot tub, refrigerator with various sodas and water, and nuts and candy are always available. If you are planning on visiting historic Mount Dora for shopping and relaxing, stay with Howard at the Magnolia Inn! It will be the best time you ever had.
