Mornin' everyone! Well apparently we're bypassing Spring and Summer is here in beautiful Mt. Dora 'cause it's already HOT! The landscaping is coming back after the freeze and things are looking a lot better. Thank goodness 'cause the "dead brown" we had was not a good look! I knew we were in trouble when I opened the blinds in our bedroom the morning after the big freeze and could see the front of the Cottage, in detail, when before I really had to hunt for a view of it through the huge philodendron that grows between our house and the Cottage. Thank goodness it's coming back fast and looking like it used too only better 'cause it's all clean under it since we can get to it right now! Bake has also planted some new flowering plants so there's more color! I really enjoyed the cold weather but not the aftermath! We got to see most of our "winter regulars" and enjoyed hearing about their year! We've met so many wonderful people through the Cottage and really look forward to seeing them every year! I love my "job". ;-)
Brittany, Grady, James and Duncan are great! James is growing like a w**d and will be starting soccer later this month! He's truly the light of our lives! Brittany is busy at Le Petit Sweet and Grady and Duncan are enjoying taking care of the kids at school. It's such a wonderful thing to be so close to the kids and be able to be part of their lives! We couldn't be happier!
The area is growing but our little downtown is still the perfect place to eat, drink and shop and enjoy all that "Mt. Adorable" has to offer. So...... come visit us and enjoy! We'd love to meet some new people and catch up with our regulars! Hope to see you soon!

Mornin' Everyone! Well, we made it through the Holidays and had a wonderful time doing it! Hope you all had a great Holiday too! The weather here has been absolutely perfect and is still hanging in there. Cool in the mornings, beautiful during the day and cool again at night! Perfect winter weather in my humble opinion!! Our thoughts and prayers go to those of you in the north, west, east, basically everywhere but here, that have that monster winter storm heading your way this weekend! Please stay safe and warm! Mother Nature seems to have it out for us a lot lately! Not much new to report here in Mt. Adorable I'm afraid but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is my motto! We still love it here! New developments are springing up all around us but our little Mt. Dora bubble stays quaint and sweet. Many will disagree with me but after living in a big city all my life, this is still quaint and sweet to me! The people are kind (most of them anyway!), our neighbors are some of our best friends, and Britt, Grady and James live a stone's throw away. It really doesn't get much better than this I don't think! Come see for yourself! We'd love to see you! Take care and stay happy! ;-)

Hey everyone! It's been too long since I said Hi so I thought I'd check in! All is great here, hope you all are doing well too. The weather seems to have taken a turn for the better, finally!! This summer was soooooo hot!! I don't believe it's ever felt this hot before. Thank goodness fall is coming. We can't wait! Everything is very green and lush but personally I'm ready for some cooler weather! Thank you for all the guests this summer that braved the heat and came to Mt. Dora. We all truly appreciate your business and devotion! It seemed like the town was busy all summer with lots of people shopping and enjoying themselves! Now let the good times begin! My favorite time of year is starting now! The pumpkins and fall leaves are out, football is on TV and the holidays will be upon us soon! We look forward to seeing all you "fall frequent flyers" and you new guests that we will be meeting this year! The firepit is ready and so are we! See you soon and until then.....

Hey everyone! Just checking in to say hi! We're still here and going strong so come see us! We've been busy, which we love, but have some open dates coming up this summer so give me a call! It's hot in the summer but it's that way everywhere so you might as well be hot here in beautiful Mt. Adorable! We've got some new restaurants in town and around and there's always things to do and see so come and stay a while! We'd love to have you! Take care and have a great summer!

Mornin’! Well it’s been busy around here for the “slow” time of year! We discovered a leak in the wall behind the AC which came down the wall and under the wood floor, not good! So… in the perfectly timed week that the Cottage was vacant we replaced the old floor, painted and got new curtains!😁 We’re basically brand new, really clean and ready for Fall!!! Hope you like it!

Happy summer y’all!!! It’s been wonderful so far even though it’s hotter than ever!🤪
I must admit I’m REALLY looking forward to November and cooler weather. The Cottage has stayed busy and we’ve met so many more wonderful people that have chosen to stay with us. The decision to run a B&B (of sorts😊) is truly one of the best we’ve ever made! We really enjoy meeting and getting to know people from all over, and “vacationing” through them to where they’re from and what they’ve discovered here. Our new “meeter/greeter” James is having fun with it too. He loves seeing who is in the Cottage and all the different dogs that stay in “Annie and Bapa’s little house”😁. Big Dog continues to guard the Cottage and dresses for each Holiday. He was pictured in the local paper for his patriotic 4th of July outfit! “The season” is approaching fast so if you’re thinking of visiting Mt. Adorable this year it’s time to reserve your dates either here at Le Petit Suite or one of the many other cottages around town! We’d love to see you! Take care everyone and hope to see you around town!👍🏻🍷

Happy summer everyone! It’s here and really hot! However, the AC in the cottage works great, the breeze at Lakeridge Winery on the weekends is great under the oaks listening to music (we went yesterday😁) and there are lots of things to do on the lakes. Our calendar is opening up and we’d love to see you! Come visit Mt. Dora!
You’ll be glad you did!😁👍🏻
