So it's summer in Montgomery County we've had a few tree wrecking storms, the big one is over 5 feet across, checked on the wildlife, even asked the wise old owl, and nesting box turtle where everyone is at.......all they could do was show us all the beautiful stuff we were passing through looking for YOU. ........where are you at? Mt Ida has a great time just waiting for you and we have great AC so you can rest up for the next adventure.........Yall come to see us......

So the pool battle was not as bad as it was last year and we made it through health inspection giving us the go ahead to open up the swimming hole......I have a bucket full of excuses as to the delay but it's done.....also this year we have put a cover over the patio allowing a dry or shaded place to relax or smoke around the pit......

Beautiful day in the neighborhood!!!!!! After cleaning rooms and preparing for the next batch of arrivals.....Ms Jay and the kids, mocha the dog and essy the cat, that's evil step sister yall,joined me on a small outing to enjoy this weather........all the parking lots for the mines look like folks are spring breaking, there's a boat behind lot's of pickups, everyone's enjoying life in our wonderful area......hey if your not here your missing it......pack up and come on .....

Spring is here.....peach blossoms with a hummingbird moth working with honey bees taking care of business......then working on rip rap (the big rocks) I happened to look around and saw a new friend sliding into my work area.....salt and pepper king snake....I got lucky and didn't stroke out lol and continued working......the point of this being.....THE WEATHER IS GETTING PRETTY GOOD....it's time to get your Mt Ida vacation on your mind....fishing is good, turkey season is on, trees are blooming every where, many schools are on spring break, and the crystal mines are ready for you to make an amazing discovery......WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???????.lol...yall come to see us.. ya hear

OK folks weather is being NICE for a spell.....forest service is burning some of woods so there's smoke around but it's still super weather for outdoors activities ......some of the mines are open some are even looking for summer help but there's a crystal with your name on it around here somewhere......come on and look at all the beautiful places we have to offer around here.....cold is gone for a minute, no snow, not raining, yet, summer heat will be here before long............sure looks like a goood time to come to Mt Ida........

Folks crystal digging is pretty much out for a bit. ...sight seeing is chancey at best mostly damage to see right now as the back roads are still treacherous, but if your traveling through the parking lot is cleared enough to pull in easy and we can get you in a comfy room.....yall be safe

Well these gals are absolutely trying to wear their shovels out......snow on ice how fun.....about 4 inches with drift and such......I broke the handle out of my shovel as soon as they quit watching me.....lol.....now I'm watching them.....work em like a borrowed mule I say....and if I want either of them to know I said that I'll tell them myself thank you!!!! This was last year.......and the precision weather prognosticators are saying we may get from 2 inches to 24 inches this weekend.......finding crystals will be difficult at best, touring around looking at scenery treacherous, and probably dang cold overall.....stay warm be safe and come visit when the weather is a bit more friendly.....but if your caught on the road we'll be here and there are several places being prepared for stranded motorists in the area...
