SOLD! It's official!

Thank you for the best 10 years ever. I'll miss this wonderful town and my fabulous visitors - who truly did enter as guests and leave as friends.

The new owners will repurpose this beautiful home as a different venue, so expect to see some changes on Main Street.
In the meantime, I'll be here packing and sorting but will be sure to let you know where I land. Stay tuned!

If you haven't gotten the chance since this plaque was placed, on your next walk past the Inn be sure to take a look at the marker at the end of the driveway.

This was part of an Eagle Scout project undertaken by Tristan, a former Breakfast With A Cop kid. He chose 10 Mount Joy locations and created signs telling about the building's or areas's history.

A ton of research, work, and management goes into this type of Eagle Scout endeavor, and he was recently featured in the February 2025 issue of Lancaster County Magazine.

Well, here's a story!

Last week a woman driving on Main Street got her foot caught under the brake pedal and couldn't stop. (She said she didn't wear the right shoes.)

She ended up driving on the sidewalk, hitting the planter on the corner, tearing off her bumper, and stopping on the walk of the house next door. Except for her scraped arm, nobody was hurt, thankfully.

The police, an ambulance, and the borough's street cleaners - as well as a tow truck - were out quickly taking care of everything. On top of that, Teena and The Flower Ladies have repotted the planter.

Two things:
1. Wear the right shoes when you drive.
2. We have the best town.
