The winter is finally here. First snow has fallen yesterday, totally changing the outdoor tones to delicate whites and blues. Here is a photograph taken in the same location as the picture previously posted. It is amazing how wonderful the morning sun exposes and shapes the definition of the entire landscape. Simply breathtaking.

The leaves are gone; the trees are looking empty, yet still quite majestic - towering over the front yard of the Kable House Inn. Quite a magnificent afternoon view. The glow of the setting sun, delicately enveloping the cloud cover, created a wonderful effect of natural warmth. Sitting in front of the fireplace, looking through the window and sipping on a cup of hot tea, really provides a person with some undisturbed time to appreciate tranquility and peace of this wonderful place.

Fall season at the Kable House Inn. Mother nature provided us with spectacular tree colors from brightest yellows to deep burgundy reds. It's a pleasure to take a brisk afternoon walk and simply enjoy this pure and natural beauty. We would love to thank all of our customers; it was an eventful summer and we hope you enjoyed your stay with us. See you soon!

Spring is finally here! Our first Japanese morning glory decided to flower today! Can't wait for the other 1500+ which we are going to plant around the inn to set their blooms this summer. Here is just a few pictures we took of this magnificent vine. Portrait photographs will turn out great with these beauties in the background climbing their trellises.

Just started a new page today. Hopefully, soon we will have our online booking engine completed, along with the website and special introductory packages for first time visitors. The main idea was to create a place that offers complete privacy, quiet and peaceful surroundings combined with a lot of tourist attractions. Over short weekend stay you will have access to luxurious suites with whirlpool bath tubs, log burning fire places, and amazing views of the golf course which surrounds the entire property. In the mean time you will be able to hike, camp in our private woods, visit four state parks located just minutes away, horseback ride, take a boat trip down Rock River, fish, hunt, and enjoy fine local dining and historical attractions. Located just an hour and a half away west of Chicago, we will strive to create a perfect getaway experience for you and your family.
