Like most of you, I have a lifetime’s worth of memories of Camp Langston, with many of you included in them- maybe one day I will write a book, or some salacious graffiti on a bathroom wall.
I was really trying to pinpoint some of my favorite memories, of course there are campouts at Lake Melody, rainy days and visits to Jeffs Castle- oh that tick filled treehouse.
I think my favorite memories of Camp Langston though are the Sunday Night Trailer Rides. I really hated them at the time, but as I look back what a way to spend an hour or two with people you like, listening to music or singing songs or just talking with the occasional sighting of a deer or Gertrude the buffalo- double points if it rained while you were on the trailer ride and then the PX after- that was gold.
