A WILD FLOUR POP-UP HAS APPEARED AT THE CHIMS!

Wildflour Sourdough is popping up at Natural Chimneys this Saturday, September 5 — with a pop-up menu starting around noon until SOLD OUT!

And here’s the fun part: the campground is FULL! So if you’re already spending Labor Day weekend with us… surprise!
Fresh sourdough goodness is coming to you.

Not camping? You’ve still got plenty of reasons to make a trip to the Chims:

Throughout Parks and Recreation Month, we've had the privilege of introducing you to 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 & 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. From childhood photos to the stories behind each role, we hope you've enjoyed getting to know the people who work every day to serve our community.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝘆, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿!
As part of Parks & Recreation Month, we're introducing you to the people behind the parks, programs, and events that bring our community together.
Judging by this childhood photo, Andy's love of recreation started early! While the basketball hoop may have been small, his passion for parks and recreation has grown tremendously over the years.
As Director of Augusta County Parks & Recreation, Andy has a hand in just about everything we do. From planning for the future to supporting day-to-day operations, he helps keep our department moving forward. If you've ever attended one of our events, you know he's not the kind of leader who stays behind a desk.
Whether he's helping with setup, greeting attendees (𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵!), directing traffic, answering questions, or pitching in wherever he's needed, Andy is always right there alongside the team. He leads with grace, stewardship, and a healthy sense of humor, creating an environment where people are empowered to do their best work.
Around our department, Andy is known for trusting his team, celebrating their successes, and never asking someone to do a job he wouldn't do himself. His leadership helps make Augusta County Parks & Recreation a place where teamwork, service, and community come first.

Meet Joyce, our Recreation Manager!
As part of Parks & Recreation Month, we're introducing you to the people behind the parks, programs, and events that bring our community together.
If this childhood photo is any indication, Joyce was destined to be the person everyone calls for answers.
As Recreation Manager, Joyce oversees our program coordinators, helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From classes and special events to trips and registrations, she's the one making sure all the moving pieces fit together so our community can enjoy everything Augusta County Parks & Recreation has to offer.
If you've ever heard someone in our office say, "Let's ask Joyce," there's a good reason. When it comes to RecTrac, our registration system for classes, events, trips, campsites, and more, she's our resident expert—the RecTrac Whisperer! Whether it's solving a tricky registration issue or helping staff navigate the system, Joyce always seems to have the answer.
Her knowledge, leadership, and willingness to help make her an invaluable part of our team and a resource we all rely on every day.
