Greetings everyone - aka Hilsen Fra Skoglund!
It's been a very long time since I posted on this page. Things have changed, life has changed. Life will never be the same without my Dad here but these last ten years have made time march on and have given me even more resolve to keep going.
Camp is now smaller. Almost two years ago, I subdivided the property knowing that I just couldn't care for all of my 60 + year old buildings into the future. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. I told the family who now owns the northern slice of camp that they own one of my kidneys, a lung, and part of my liver ( the Lodge, Stor Hus, and Ink's Spot).
I am now living a much easier life (everything is pretty much UNDER CONTROL (which is a very new feeling).
I'm still renting the Nest and Pop's Cabin. Many of you know that Pop's cabin belonged to my grandparents from Norway, Andrew and Ingeborg. Some of my very best memories are in that house and it makes me more grateful every year to see people love and enjoy it.
The cabins are now with Airbnb. Starting this year, I will also book directly, as I used to, via [email protected]. I hope to get the website up and running again too. Why not? I have time!
70 years ago this year my Dad bought the old Camp Mowana on Echo Lake.....the rest is history.
Much love to anyone who sees and reads this!
Rondi
