🗑️ WEEKLY GARBAGE REMINDER 🗑️

Just a friendly reminder about what should — and shouldn’t — be placed out with your weekly garbage.

Please DO NOT put construction or large materials in your weekly garbage. This includes things such as:

🔨 Wood & lumber
🔩 Metal
🧱 Construction/remodeling debris
🚪 Other large or bulky materials

All household garbage should be BAGGED and placed INSIDE a garbage container. Please do not leave loose garbage or bags sitting beside your container.

Wood, metal, construction debris and other larger items can be brought to the provided dumpster during our Spring Cleanup and Fall Haul.

We will have the date for this year's Fall Haul following our next meeting on September 7th, so stay tuned!

Developmental screenings for the Mt. Vernon School for children ages Birth - 5 years will be on Tuesday, September 8th at the Mt. Vernon School. A note will be sent home with students enrolled in the district run preschool. If you wish to have your child participate in the screening, please call the office at 605-236-5237.

A cluster of storms will move northeast from Nebraska overnight and bring the threat for strong winds and heavy rain. If a few storms can develop just ahead of this cluster, hail to golf ball size will also be possible. If you are outside, have a shelter to move to if needed.
