Have you ever wanted to peek inside an artist's sketchbook?
At Sketches & Becoming, you'll have a chance to do exactly that.
Tomorrow on June 13th from 5–8 PM, join artist Svitlana Prouty as she shares the sketches, stories, and creative journey behind her angel paintings. See how a simple drawing grows into a finished work of art and discover the inspiration hidden between the first pencil line and the final brushstroke.
Come listen to the stories, explore the sketches, and experience the art in a whole new way.

Someone will probably walk in and say, "This isn't a real gallery."
And they're right.
It's something far more interesting.
Sketches & Becoming isn't a collection of perfectly framed, finished masterpieces. It's a glimpse behind the curtain. Sketchbooks.
Studies. Notes scribbled in margins. Ideas that almost didn't happen. Experiments that became something more.
This exhibition invites you into the part of artmaking most people never see—the becoming.
You'll find botanical studies pinned to the wall, charcoal figure drawings, tiny sketches, unfinished thoughts, and the creative breadcrumbs artists leave behind while searching for something worth making.
And maybe that's exactly what Mountain Home needs more of—not perfect art, but real creativity.
The kind that reminds us that every skill starts with a first attempt, every artist starts with a sketch, and every community grows when people are willing to share the work in progress.

🐾 Two Dogs. Two Artists. Two Completely Different Stories.
One of our favorite things about sketching is seeing how two artists can look at the same subject and discover something entirely different.
For our upcoming Sketches & Becoming Art Show, we're sharing these wonderful dog portraits by Levi Mecham and Daniel Prouty.
One artist captured the dog's powerful stance, strength, and confidence with expressive ink lines. The other focused on those soulful eyes and gentle personality, creating a portrait that feels like a conversation.
Same subject. Different pencils. Different perspectives. Both absolutely captivating.
That's the magic of sketches—they reveal not only what the artist sees, but how they see the world.
Which portrait speaks to you more: the full-body sketch or the close-up portrait?
Come discover more stories, sketches, and artistic journeys at Sketches & Becoming, where you'll see how simple lines, marks, and ideas evolve into something meaningful.
