Access to Barkshed Campground will be limited on Monday, June 1, 2026 due to debris removal at the bridge on Barkshed Road.

Access to the campground from Cartwright Road (FSR 1115) and west Tie Ridge Road (FSR 1112) will be blocked during the duration of work, with no through traffic allowed. The campground can be accessed through the alternative route via Gunner Road (FSR 1102) and east Tie Ridge Road (FSR 1112). Work on the bridge is anticipated to be completed by the end of day Monday.

When I saw this, I couldn’t help but laugh!

Apparently, there comes a point in life when your daily plans are determined by how much ibuprofen is willing to cooperate. 😆

Now, Greg, our resident master gardener, is not quite 60 yet… but after spending hours planting flowers, mowing, trimming, hauling mulch, and keeping Mountain View RV Park & Guest Motel looking beautiful, I can assure you he has a full understanding of this joke! 🌺🌿🚜

The good news? All that hard work means our guests get to enjoy colorful flower beds, peaceful mountain views, and a park that’s looking better than ever.

How many of you can relate? What’s your preferred “fuel” these days—coffee, ibuprofen, or both? 😂☕💊
