Christian camp can shape faith long after camp ends.

A 2024 peer-reviewed study of former Christian campers found that repeated camp experiences helped develop an “owned personal faith” that carried into adulthood.

Camp gave young people space to encounter God personally, practice faith apart from their parents, build lasting connection to the Church, and shape the direction of their lives.

Help Us Preserve Camp History!

As we work to preserve the rich history of Camp Kahoka, we’re searching for memorabilia from our former names:

* Ozark Camp of Opportunity (circa 1975)
* Iron Mountain Christian Camp (circa 1990)

We’re looking for anything that helps tell the story of these camps, including:

• Camp photos
• T-shirts
• Buttons or pins
• Patches
• Programs and brochures
• Newsletters
• Yearbooks or directories
• Crafts
• Awards or ribbons
• Cabin signs
• Songbooks
• Newspaper articles
• Any other camp keepsakes or memories

If you have items you’d be willing to donate, loan for scanning, or simply photograph, we’d love to hear from you. Even if all you have is a story or a few old pictures, those memories are an important part of preserving the legacy of this ministry for future generations.

We made a few exciting updates to our dining hall this season—new lighting and a brand-new staircase!

These improvements not only enhance the space but also create opportunities for new adventures, future projects, and continued growth at camp.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the men who worked tirelessly to make this happen. Their dedication, sacrifice, and countless hours of hard work allowed these projects to be completed in record time. We are incredibly grateful for their willingness to serve and invest in Camp Kahoka. Your efforts will impact campers and guests for years to come!
