Tune up your sleds!

Only minor changes to the forecast since this morning. Significant lake effect snow and blowing snow is expected to begin tonight across the western U.P. and spread east before sunrise Thursday, continuing through Thursday night. Expect difficult travel conditions for the Thursday morning commute, especially near Lake Superior. The evening commute will also be treacherous for our eastern counties. Arctic air will blast across the region with this system, as wind chill readings over most of Upper Michigan on Thursday and Thursday night will range from 5 below zero to 5 above zero.
