Here's Norm the Gnome's rain collection report: just a smidge over an inch and a half for the past 24 hours. We got a couple good downpours off the storms so it should have moved some gravel at the Crater. Have fun in the mud!

Congratulations Bart! You are our 168th first diamond find! A beautiful 17 pt pale brown. It was shaped like a square which the Crater said was the first one they've seen. Bart was persistent and went through 100 buckets before he found this gem.

Norm the Gnome says we got 4.5 inches of rain and more to come. The storms were gravel movers because gravel is washed out in parts of our driveway. They just got through plowing the Crater so tomorrow will be an excellent day to surface hunt. Monday will be awesome to find gravel for wet sifting. More rain to come next week!

Here is a photo of the flawless, 6.03-carat yellow diamond as it appeared in the official, state park press release. I just wish they didn't show it sitting on a black logo. You really need to see how clear, clean, and well-shaped this beautiful diamond is. This photo does not show it well enough, but it is the best we have available.
