These littlest are the reason for our temporary closure yesterday! Scout (3 years) was able to join 3 of his cousins on the same team at Kirby foe their first game of the year, ND his first game EVER! What a blast they are!! Easton, the 11 year old not pictured, will have his first game Monday but he had an accident on the playground at school Friday that requieed stitches in his hand (he is definitely his father's child 😆) so his season will be a little delayed. Please pray for him and that his hand heals quickly and healthy! As you all know, we don't close the store for every little thing, but we don't consider the babies a "little thing", they are what brings light, chaos, entertainment, and LOTS of love and personality to our family and we couldn't love them more!! Thank you all for your patience and understanding!!

Hey everyone! Looks like Spring is making it's appearance and hopefully here to stay for a while. With that being said, I'd like to clear up a few rumors that may be going around about the business.

We suffered a lot of damage to our docks during the Ice Storm at the end of January and it has been a lot, to say the least, mentally and physically just to try to figure out the next move in the next moment and stay one step ahead so we aren't holding up progress. Unfortunately we were not the only marina that suffered damage and our thoughts and prayers are with our marina families. It could have been a lot worse and thankfully nobody thus far has been hurt, but we definitely don't want to experience that again.

We have construction, demolition, repairs, and everyday business going on at Swaha. Please excuse our mess and please be careful when around the area. We have tried to keep everything contained as projects progress, but sometimes you have to make a bigger mess just to be able to clean up the existing one.

OUR RAMP IS OPEN. OUR STORE IS OPEN. OUR LODGING IS OPEN. OUR BOATS RENTALS ARE OPEN (but we are still awating confirmation of what our current boat fleet for the year will be, so no future reservations for summer are being taken for boat rentals at this time. Check back about that in a few days).....and to those that have slips in our marina, if you are affected, we will contact you directly, otherwise, no news is good news!

Now, lets get back to business and enjoy the beauty of Lake Greeson! While you are out and about, check out our inventory of store merch and grab you a pizza for your lake ride!

Our tournament season kicks off next weekend and let me tell ya...GREESON IS ON FIREEEEE!!! Weather is looking great! Lets have a great turnout!

Finally!!! The day we have been waiting for has arrived!!! The demolition crew came in last night to start taking the roof off of Dock J!!!! Hoping for good weather in the next few days so we can get this project done. Also, pray for everyone’s safety as we navigate this step.

STAY OUT OF THE CONSTRUCTION AREA. We do not need any UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL interfering with the progress as there will be lots of machinery and guys working. We are trying to keep this area as safe as possible! Updates will come accordingly.

Swaha update 2/4/26:
The past couple of days have been very busy between meeting with insurance, dock companies, and demolition teams. We are awaiting their decision at this time as they have looked closely at the docks. This has been very time consuming and stressful workload as we want to be sure they catch all the damage in their reviews. We have made sure to let them know we are in a time crunch and that everyone is needing answers ASAP.

Also, Kevin (and Hunter) have been taking time to move boats out of docks (several from E dock), and bringing those to the office Dock C, so owners can pick them up. We are trying to contact folks as that progresses, so please be patient as they can only move so many per day (while also pulling off to help load or meet people).

ROADS ARE OPEN, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ONE THAT LEADS TO J & K DOCKS. We are now allowing boat owners to come out and we will allow you to go out on certain docks, while also assisting you as we can if you need help. We ask that you check into the office just so we can limit numbers on the docks at once. PLEASE NOTE: DOCKS E AND J ARE STILL OFF LIMITS TO ACCESS, BUT KEVIN WILL BE GLAD TO TAKE YOU OUT BY BOAT. The road into Dock J & K is still closed off at this time. If you have insurance companies that need access to your boat, please relay this message to them as well.

If you have questions, feel free to call the office at (870)285-2272. If you try calling Kevin’s cell, he is in the bay most all day every day so he does not have access to answering. Call the office and we will get messages to him.

Friday A.M. Update:
Area closed (danger and power is still on)

May ask why power is on??? We are hoping it will continue to stay on to allow bilge pumps and heaters and etc. to do their thing, to minimize any possibly listing/sinking or damages to vessels. I know that may sound crazy to many but we do have reasoning and if everyone stays out of the area, it shouldn’t be an issue.

It looks like docks are continuing to recover even better than expected this morning with a good start to melting drips. Many boats that had pressure on them have lifted so hopefully minimal to no damage will be noted. There is no doubt a few will have damage.

The OEM has flown the drone closely for their records and they have been here to document things.

We are hoping most dissipates so we can hurry to check the structures in hopes we can get to boats because we know many adjusters are needing to get to them to further assess damages for claims. We do expect to meet with our adjuster today (if he can make it to us due to his work load as well as the roads).

The roads are worse today for anyone that may have been planning to travel Dynmite hill. The graders have made passes but barely noticeable because it is solid ice. We measured 6.5” of ice on one HB.

We have made a drive through assessment and Kevin is currently in the bay trying to get close up again, as we speak. Aspen and I are at the office retrieving voicemails, answering calls, texts, and emails today. If you have any questions we will try to answer as best we can if you call the office at 870-285-2272.
