This week in Myrtle Beach the weather is in the mid to high 60s each day! Absolutely perfect winter weather in our opinion! We have some exciting things happening here at this winter! Typically the winter is a sleepy time at the beach but not this year! First, we are happy to share that the ocean outfall project will soon be complete and the temporary pier will soon be removed, making our beach better (and cleaner) than ever! We are also expecting to reap the benefits of the Army Corps of Engineers beach renourishment project within the next two months, adding sand back to our shoreline. This will help to restore beachfront that was lost during the past couple of hurricanes. At the resort, all of our outdoor furniture is being replaced with much more stylish and updated pieces. It has all arrived on site, just waiting to be assembled! There are also other projects going on to improve the beauty of the buildings. Next door, our friendly little boutique hotel neighbor is being renovated and we are excited to see those improvements. Lots of great things are happening on our little stretch of the beach! We are looking forward to hosting you again soon!

had new glamour shots taken last week! Since our last photos were taken, we’ve made many improvements including: all new outdoor furniture, new washer and dryer, new lamps and nightstands in the queen bedroom, a new vanity in the hall bath, and new Roku TV systems throughout. We hope you consider being our guests and enjoying these improvements!

This afternoon, as I was getting lunch in Myrtle Beach, I saw this billowing smoke in the distance. My first thought was that it must be a serious fire because the smoke was so thick. As I drove along, I saw at least 10 first responders heading toward the fire from literally every direction, lights and sirens blazing. There were several ambulances heading toward it and I was praying that it wasn’t a structure fire. Please say a prayer for the people in Myrtle Beach who are being evacuated and for the brave firefighters who run toward the dangers. Pray that the winds don’t cause the fire to do more damage. Thankfully, is a safe distance away from the fire.

New furnishings! We added a pair of these comfortable lounge chairs on the small balcony and they are quite the upgrade from the stackable chairs we had before! We’ve also replaced the swivel rockers and the glider bench on the big patio. Still waiting on the new coffee table to come in, then I’ll have new professional photos taken to show you all of the updates we’ve been making!

A new restaurant to try! The Peach Cobbler Factory in Myrtle Beach is a delicious treat! We tried several cobbler flavors and our overall favorite was the blackberry, followed closely by apple and peach. Everything was so delicious! It’s about a 15 minute drive from or you can order through Grubhub and have it delivered. 😋🍑🍨
