Our drone captured this amazing pic this morning at approx. 5:40am as SpaceX flew past the Dayton House! Were any of our guests up early enough to see it too?

Many of you have wondered why the city is disrupting our beautiful yard and beach access with this construction project. This video taken today after a CRAZY thunderstorm will help to explain why. Do you see the running water alongside the project, running into the construction area? That water keeps going... directly to Ocean Blvd. When we have heavy rainfall and storms, it causes floodlike conditions on the street as well as in our lobby areas. Once the project is complete, the underwater drains installed under the ocean floor will connect with city drainage system along 24th Ave North. The result? This will significantly reduce flooding and beach erosion. It will also alleviate water and flooding issues in our beautiful resort. We know that it has been a long project, and there is still more work to come, but we hope this provides a glimpse into why this project is so important for our immediate area.
