Work is progressing on the mid year deep cleaning, repairs and upgrades. Added 4 new tall beach chairs, 350lb rated. The total is now 4 tall beach chairs, 2 low beach chairs with small tables and cloth coolers, two beach umbrellas and a sand blanket.

Happy Fourth of July! We hope everyone has a safe and fun time with family and friends. Marion and I arrived at the condo today. Mid year deep cleaning, repairs and new additions.

We have some exciting updates to share:

🏖️ THE BEACH JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT BETTER
We just learned that the Army Corps of Engineers has completed the beach refurbishment project for our stretch of shoreline. The beach is noticeably wider, and — more importantly — they've upgraded the underground drainage system to significantly reduce erosion going forward. If you've been to Myrtle Beach before, you'll notice the difference immediately.

🔧 MARION AND I ARE HEADED DOWN JULY 4TH FOR OUR MID-YEAR REFRESH
We treat this like a white-glove inspection. Here's what we're tackling:

✅ 4 new guest beach chairs (350 lb rated capacity each) + an 8-foot beach umbrella
✅ First aid kit and LifeSaver choking device added to the unit
✅ Replacing the old office chair with a proper comfortable one
✅ New large beach canvas for the living room wall (the starfish had a slightly broken leg — she's been retired 😄)
✅ Adding a duvet + cover for each bed so our cleaning team can swap them out same-day if needed
✅ More kids games joining Candyland and Sorry in the game cabinet
✅ Full inventory check — if anything has walked off, we'll know
✅ Deep clean: toss all beds and clean underneath, hands-and-knees baseboard scrub, steam-sanitize all bathrooms, pull out oven and fridge and clean behind
✅ Possible AC duct cleaning and sanitizing (contractor permitting)
✅ Working with our cleaning team on guest welcome baskets + stocking up on paper towels, TP, coffee pods, water, dishwasher pods, and laundry pods
